10th Nov 2001 Ground track

ISS and STS-108 attached. Again this is a low elevation pass, range 732 km. What makes this image particularly special is that a spacewalk was being performed at the time by Linda Godwin & Daniel Tani. The spaewalk started at 17:53 UTC and completed just over 4 hours hours later, so these pictures were obtained about 30 minutes into the activity. Part of the worklist was to attach insulating blankets to the solar panel gimbal motor bearings. Problems with over-current in these motors has resulted in problems with keeping both panels oriented towards the sun - this probably explains our images from October where the panels were seen to be at different angles.
